    • Sponsor:

The “Search for the Oldest Furnace (or Boiler!)” contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by Meyer & Depew, 309 Lafayette Avenue, PO Box 257 Kenilworth, NJ 07033-0257, NJ (“Sponsor”).

    • Eligibility:

 

The Contest is open only to legal residents of New Jersey who reside in one of the following counties: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union, or Warren. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older and must be the homeowner of the residence where the furnace or boiler is located. Employees of the Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies, and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household are not eligible. Residential customers only, excludes commercial customers.

    • How to Enter (Online Entry):

To enter, visit meyer-depew.com/oldest-furnace and complete the online entry form with the following information:

  • Name

  • Furnace/Boiler Manufacturer
  • Furnace/Boiler Model Number
  • Furnace/Boiler Serial Number
  • Upload two photos: one of the furnace or boiler and one showing the system’s nameplate with a legible make, model, and serial number.

Limit one (1) entry per household. Incomplete, inaccurate, or illegible entries may be disqualified.

  • Alternate Method of Entry

Participants may enter the Contest without using the online entry form by sending an email to contest@meyer-depew.com with the following information:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Phone
  • Address
  • Eligible NJ County
  • Furnace/Boiler Manufacturer
  • Furnace/Boiler Model Number
  • Furnace/Boiler Serial Number
  • Two photos: one of the furnace and one of the furnace’s nameplate showing legible make, model, and serial number.

Email entries must be received by 11:59 PM EST on February 28, 2026. Limit one (1) email entry per household.

  • Contest Period:

Entries will be accepted starting January 30, 2026 and ending at 11:59 PM EST. on February 28, 2026. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.

  • Entry Requirements & Verification

Sponsor reserves the right to verify the eligibility, authenticity, ownership, and accuracy of any entry. Any entry that is incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, illegible, altered, or submitted in violation of these Official Rules may be disqualified at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

By submitting photos, entrant represents and warrants that they own all rights to the submitted images and grants Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and display the images for promotional and marketing purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

    • Prize:

One (1) winner will receive up to $8,000 off the purchase and installation of a new gas furnace or boiler (the “Prize”). The prize has no cash value. It is non-transferable and may not be substituted or exchanged. There is no amount payable to the winner of the contest should the value of the furnace or boiler required for their home be less than $8,000. The prize must be used toward the installation of a new furnace or boiler by April 30, 2026. Offer excludes oil fired systems. Offer may not be combined with any other offer. 

    • Winner Selection:

The oldest furnace will be determined by the Sponsor based on the submitted serial number and supporting information. All decisions of the Sponsor regarding eligibility, winner selection, and prize award are final and binding.

    • Winner Notification:

The winner will be notified by email and/or phone approximately 10 business days following the determination of the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond, or does not meet eligibility requirements, an alternate winner may be selected at the Sponsor’s discretion.

  • Installation & Fulfillment Conditions

Prize fulfillment is subject to a site inspection and compliance with all applicable building codes, permitting requirements, and safety standards. Sponsor reserves the right to void the Prize if installation is not feasible due to site conditions, access limitations, or code compliance issues.

The Prize does not include any warranties beyond those expressly provided by the manufacturer or installer. Sponsor is not responsible for delays or inability to fulfill the Prize due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, or government regulations.

  • Marketing Communications Consent

By entering the Contest, participants consent to receive marketing communications from Meyer & Depew via email, phone, and other channels. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and participants may opt out of such communications at any time.

  • Publicity Release

Acceptance of the Prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to reference the winner’s first name and city, as well as his/her submitted photos for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

  • Privacy

Information collected in connection with this Contest will be used in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.

    • Limitation of Liability:

By entering, entrants release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability, loss, or damage arising from or in connection with participation in the Contest or acceptance, use, or misuse of the Prize.

  • Taxes:

Winner is solely responsible for any applicable federal, state, or local taxes associated with acceptance of the Prize.

    • General Conditions:

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or other factors beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impair the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to enforce these Official Rules at its sole discretion.

  • Governing Law:

The Contest and these Official Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
